About Linda
I left a long career as a professional public librarian to pursue my life-long passion to work as a healer in order to help others reconnect with all parts of themselves in ways that are deeply healing as well as life-enhancing. In my own personal growth I also found various forms of energy and bodywork by well-trained practitioners so helpful to me that I decided to make energy work my second career.
My first training in energy/bodywork was at the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy where I completed a year-long training program in Shiastu. Following the perspective of eastern medicine, shiatsu uses finger pressure to free up energy moving along acupuncture energy meridians in order to create a more balanced energetic flow throughout the body. I often incorporate shiatsu into my broader energy practice as it is a very useful method of freeing up energy at the lower levels of the energy field and is a useful treatment for many conditions.
As a student and graduate of the intensive and challenging 4-year Professional Studies Program of the renowned Barbara Brennan School of Healing in Miami I learned many powerful yet gentle healing techniques as well as benefited from the personal and spiritual growth that such a school induces. Brennan work is the basis for most of my work as a healer.
My Reiki III Master/Teacher level training further supplements my energy healing work, although like shiatsu, the frequency of energy that Reiki uses is only a small but valid part of the energetic frequencies that I am trained to work with through the Brennan work.
My approach to healing and personal transformation is holistic, focusing on each client as a unique and special being of body, mind and spirit. My goal is to use my training, personal experience, and other life skills to help my clients reconnect with all parts of themselves in ways that are both deeply healing and life-enhancing.
Illness or dis-ease often present both a challenge for change and a deeper message that unfold for the client through healing work. I am deeply honored to walk with my clients into their healing journey, wherever it may lead.
